Historic Port Charm with So Much to See and Do
Charming and historic, this town is lined with cobblestone streets and filled with the sounds of seagulls. A true maritime town and plenty of wharves, water-views abound from restaurants and hotels alike. You could spend a few hours or a few weeks in Portland!
Let’s start with Old Port. It’s an endless array of little shops selling nautical wares (plenty of lobster goods) and fabulous restaurants. Saunter down to the water and grab a lobster roll overlooking the boats at either Portland Lobster Company or the Porthole. Consider taking a food tour and for lobster lovers the Old Port Lunchtime Lobster Crawl is recommended! Please note this seasonal tour runs April – October. Or hit the water with a lobster boat tour and Lucky Catch Cruises.
Why we love it: It’s a sweet and salty destination. Good nightlife in Old Port, too!
