Salty Galilee – A Fishing Village and Boat Lovers Delight!

Sounds of Seagulls Fill the Air

If you love fishing boats, this is the place for you!  Galilee is a fishing port and a great place to watch the boats and Block Island Ferry come and go. Flocks of seagulls follow these vessels with their haul of fresh seafood and makes for fantastic scenery.   There is also a nice beach and jetty to enjoy the waves and salt air with views of the sea.

Make it a day trip to wander the piers and have lunch or plan around a sunset dinner.  Galilee is filled with seafood restaurants and most offer views of the water.  Straight off the boat, the seafood is incredibly fresh and enjoying lobster in this fishing village, is an experience!  {Photo Credit: Jeremy D’Entremont, New England Lighthouses}

Why we love it:  Lobster lunch or dinner feels so authentic here.
