Our Privacy Policy

This policy is valid as of June 17, 2016

Welcome to the official web site of the Lobster Trail. We have a website and applications (apps) – otherwise known as digital resources. We value our visitors.  The Lobster Trail has created this privacy policy to explain that we respect the privacy of visitors who come to our digital resources.   We strive to collect only the minimum amount of non-personally identifiable information needed to run this site effectively. Although we do not expect our stance to change, please refer to this policy for any updates.

Our digital resources do contain links to other websites and social media. Please be aware that Lobster Trail is not responsible for the privacy practices of other such sites. When you visit other sites, please read the privacy policies of those sites and see how they use personal identifiable information.
We will not collect “personally identifiable information” unless you voluntarily send us an e-mail message, fill out and send an online form, or fill out personal information, send in a survey, comment via social media or buy merchandise from us.

We will not share “personally identifiable information” which is defined as information about a person that is readily identifiable to that specific individual unless you know about it. It includes, for example, an individual’s name, street address, e-mail address, or phone number. Any email addresses submitted by the visitor to the web site will not be used sold to third parties for marketing purposes. Unless specifically protected under state law, any information provided may be inspected by the public or disclosed in a legal proceeding. If you provide your email address to us as a way to sign up for a newsletter and/or other marketing communication option, we send you instructions allowing you to “opt-out” of receiving future marketing communications. In addition, if at any time you wish not to receive any future marketing communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated below.

We do include a retail shop within our site whereby visitor can purchase merchandise either supplied by us or through a third party. Just like many other internet retailers, we use platforms not owned by us to perform the fulfillment and/or delivery function. For example, if you purchase an item such as a T-shirt through our digital resources – we must share information about you to organizations such as Federal Express, UPS and US Postal Service. Such information would include your name, shipping address, email, and phone number. If you download the apps, we utilize third party platforms. These third parties will ask for your credit card details to provide to credit-card processors and credit issuers. We rely on the highest data encryption methods privacy by these third parties. Again, you initiate the transaction thus giving permission. In most cases, we do not have access to any credit card details. The bottom line is that we do not give, share, rent nor sell your personally identifiable details that would cause any harm to our visitors.
