The Darius Inn – Walk to the Ferry Landing

Renovated and Renamed in 2013

Located in Old Harbor and within walking distance of the ferry landing and the beach, The Darius Inn is one of the best places to stay on Block Island!    Named after a Captain Darius B read the full info here. Dodge, a druggist who made and sold medical elixirs on the property in the 1800s, the Inn was transformed in 2013 by innkeepers Christy and Becca.    The Darius Inn offers 6 intimate guest rooms each creatively decorated and 5 pet friendly suites on the first floor.   Many of the suites offer kitchenettes and for a nominal fee, Christy and Becca will stock your fridge!   The breakfasts are delicious and the views are outstanding.    Lobster anyone?  The Darius Inn is close to many casual and fine dining seafood restaurants.

Admiral Fitzroy Inn – Across from Newport Harbor

Nestled in the heart of historic Newport, Admiral Fitzroy Inn is a friendly bed and breakfast once home to seafaring captains. Built in 1854 and named for Admiral Fitzroy famous for creating the first easy-to-use barometer and sailing around the world with Charles Darwin, the Inn is comfortable, cozy and within walking distance of the finest shops and seafood restaurants!
