Take a Swan Boat Ride in the Public Garden

Like Lobster – A Boston Tradition!

As you explore Boston, plan a visit to the Boston Public Garden – the first public botanical garden in America. As you relax in this tranquil environment – you’ll come to the brightly painted Swan Boats.  Hop on for a 12-15 minute ride around the lagoon.   As the driver pedals along, you’ll notice plenty of mallards and that tiny island that’s featured in the famous children’s book, “Make Way for Ducklings”!    The Swan Boats offer a unique way to learn a little about Boston history and visions of  mouthwatering lobster rolls dance in your head.

Insider’s Tip:  Bring an insulated lunch tote, filled with lobster rolls (and napkins) from Yankee Lobster, Legal Sea Foods or the Barking Crab.  Enjoy a lobster roll picnic before or after your Swan Boat ride.  You’ll spot plenty of places for a peaceful picnic.

Why we love it:   Fun for the family!
